This Privacy Policy explains what information The Sports Lobby ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Sports Lobby is operated as an individual project, not through a registered company.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (handled securely by our authentication provider, Supabase). You may also add a display name and, within a league, a team name. If a league you join involves an entry fee, payment details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor — we do not receive or store your full card number.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to operate the Service: creating and managing your account, running leagues and drafts, calculating scores and standings, sending transactional emails (such as league invites, join confirmations, password resets, and draft notifications), and providing support if you contact us.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate the Service:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication (login, password reset).
• Resend — delivers transactional emails on our behalf (confirmations, invites, notifications).
• A third-party payment processor — handles entry fee payments and payouts where applicable.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use your browser's local/session storage to keep you logged in and to remember short-lived state (such as where to redirect you after logging in). We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we will remove it, except where we're required to retain records (for example, transaction history related to entry fees or payouts) for legal or accounting purposes.

6. Your Choices

You can update your display name and team name at any time from your account and league settings pages. You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by emailing us.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we'll notify users directly.
